About Us

Trina Solar ISBU Germany has been active in the German market since 2016. Our team consists of highly qualified and passionate professionals with over 10 years of experience from A to Z, dedicated to promoting ecological sustainability and driving the transition to clean and renewable energy sources.

Our ambitions are concrete: We aim to set the standard in this field on both a national and European level and make a significant contribution to the energy transition towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

We began our journey with limited resources amidst regulatory and macroeconomic uncertainty! The DNA of our team is marked by a start-up mentality – achieving great results with few resources. Currently, we are focusing on securing our project pipeline (starting with land acquisition, i.e., “Greenfield”) through our in-house expertise (e.g., battery storage integration solutions) and development activities, as well as joint venture partners (co-development), for both PV open-field systems and battery storage projects (BESS). Therefore, we are able to increase the probability of success and quality of the projects we develop, either alone or in collaboration with our partners. As the pipeline grows, we will recruit additional team members to expand and complement the current development capacities. Our goal is to manage a PV pipeline of 1 GWp and a roughly similar volume of BESS by the end of 2027, working in collaboration with consultants operating nationwide in Germany.

Our goal is clear: We aim to make a tangible contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, preserving natural resources, and creating shared values for a more sustainable and inclusive economy. Together, we can build a better future by aligning ourselves more and more with a green, clean, and energy-efficient Germany.

Who We Are

We are visionaries who tackle our country’s environmental and energy challenges with a “game changer” mentality. We look to the future with the hope of making our dreams come true because that is our mission.
We are ready to collaborate to improve our future.

Our Origination

Are you a landowner? Partner with us and lease your land for renewable energy projects.

Do you have unused land that you would like to rent or sell? Would you like to repurpose a piece of land that is currently idle? At Trina ISBU, we are actively seeking agricultural and industrial land for the installation of renewable energy systems.  Leasing your land for a renewable energy project provides you with a stable and secure income stream over time. Additionally, it allows you to play a significant role in the energy transition and the reduction of CO2 emissions locally and globally.  We are looking for industrial or agricultural land that can be developed for renewable energy production.   Contact us today for a personalised evaluation and to learn more about how you can benefit from partnering with Trina ISBU.

 Get a Secure, Long-Term Income

We can help you get the most out of your land with a competitive market rate. You’ll receive an annual payment, which depends on factors like soil quality, exposure, and other technical aspects. The agreement can last between 30 and 40 years. If you’d rather get your money upfront, we can arrange an advance payment of the annual rent or discuss a purchase agreement.

Make the Most of Your Land

Our photovoltaic systems typically use around 40-45% of the leased land, leaving plenty of room for dual land use. On the same land, you can generate energy while continuing agricultural activities like sheep grazing, beekeeping, or planting perennial herbs. We’re happy to design the solar system to match your priorities and agricultural practices, ensuring seamless dual land use. Contact us today for more information on agrivoltaics.

Information Request

Do you have land and would like to rent or sell it to build a photovoltaic plant? Fill out the contact form, call us, or send an email. We will respond to your inquiries and questions. We are open to partners and investors along the value chain.

01

Analysis of Commitment

We conduct a due diligence and feasibility analysis to evaluate the suitability of the property.

02

Economic Proposal / Land Lease Agreement

After successfully completing the analysis, a land lease agreement is signed, which is also associated with a successful reservation of grid capacities and approval/construction permits by the authorities.

03

Request for Reservation of Grid Connection Capacity

With the lease agreement, you also give us permission to request a daily report from the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO).

04

Evaluation of Grid Connection Capacity

About three months after the daily inquiry, you will receive a response with the details. If a project can be completed, we will then evaluate the technical and economic aspects. If this is not the case, the project will be terminated, and the lease agreement for the land will become void.

05

Start of Authorisation Process

We handle obtaining all necessary permits by submitting all required applications to the relevant authorities. Once the Planning Decision is in place, we submit an application for grid reservation.

06

Completion of the Approval Process

When the approval process is successfully completed (Resolution), a building permit is granted, allowing the installation and operation of the facility. Should this not be the case, the project will be terminated, and the land lease agreement will be canceled.

07

Commissioning of the Facility

Construction of the facility is completed, and operation, along with all associated legal obligations, has commenced.
