February 6, 2025, London, England: Trinasolar International System Business Unit (\u201cISBU\u201d), a global platform for utility-scale solar and storage project development, investment, and operations, has announced the acquisition of a 40MW\/80MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project from Source Galileo, a leading European renewable energy developer. Trina Solar ISBU (\u201cTrina Solar ISBU\u201d) is the downstream project development arm of Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (SHA: 688599). The transaction marks a significant milestone in Source Galileo\u2019s commitment to accelerating the energy transition while establishing a foundation for future collaboration between the two companies.<\/p>

Located to the South of Aberdeen City Centre in Scotland, the Rigifa BESS project is designed to deliver reliable grid support and energy storage capacity, playing a critical role in enhancing the flexibility of the UK\u2019s renewable energy infrastructure. The project is fully consented to and strategically positioned to contribute to the UK\u2019s clean energy goals.<\/p>
